Created for my Argumentative Writing course, this project involved developing a mock legislative bill proposing increased regulation and transparency surrounding social media algorithms and their influence on public discourse. In addition to the written policy proposal, the project included a recorded multimedia presentation structured as a mock Senate hearing in which I presented and defended the legislation. The project explored the complex relationship between free speech, technology, algorithmic amplification, and government regulation while strengthening my skills in persuasive communication, policy analysis, public speaking, and argumentative writing.
